One More Day To Submit An Offer

Tomorrow is Independence Day. This means that HUD and almost everyone else take a holiday on Monday. Therefore  the bidding deadline on Columbus HUD Homes has shifted to Monday 7/5/10 at midnight.

You probably heard the news about the home buyer tax credit plastered all over the Internet. In my previous HUD homes post I indicated that it is very likely that Congress will act on the tax credit. Now it is official. The closing deadline for the home buyer tax credit has been extended until September 30, 2010.

I do not believe that many HUD home buyers will be effected by it. However, if you are in contract with a short sale or bank owned, this may help you collect up to $8,000 from the government.

This week the number of HUD listings has grown to 194. There are 45 relists, and exactly 60% of these relists are price reductions.
