HUD Homes Dramatic Shift To Investors

A dramatic shift has taken place!

As the number of new HUD Listings drops, more Columbus HUD homes become available to investors.

This is the first time we see more HUD homes available to investors than for owner occupants. While there are only 18 new listings, the total number of HUD homes available to all bidders has surpassed 100. That’s 3 times more than at the beginning of the year.

This may indicate that NHMS, the current management company for Ohio HUD homes, is winding down operations. A new company has been selected a few weeks ago.

Or, it may just coincide with a general slow down in homes sales which is not unusual in early summer.

It certainly spells “opportunity” for investors and owner occupants alike. Just look at the 16 Columbus HUD homes offered for less than $20K. These homes will make solid rentals that generate monthly incomes of $600 to $700.

The least expensive HUD listing is a brick, double on South Ohio Avenue. The asking price is only $10,000. Each side comes with 3 bedrooms. This could be your cash cow, if you like the area.
