Many of our readers have asked me these two questions with respect to buying Columbus HUD Homes. Here are the answers for everyone’s benefit:
Question: Can you submit an offer on ANY HUD Home or do I need to call the listing agent?
Answer: I can submit offers for you on any HUD home you select (not only the ones we feature in this email or on our blog). NO NEED to call the listing realtor! It works just like with any other Columbus houses listed on the MLS: I can represent you as the buyer’s agent on any property you choose!
Question: How can I see, if I my offer was accepted?
Answer: If I submitted the offer for you, I will check it for you. If you work with another realtor, they should do the same. To see it for yourself, you can go to the Ohio Section of the NHMSI website and click on Bid Results. Select the city where the property is located. The website will show a list of all properties under contract, when the offer was accepted, for how much and the name of the broker who submitted the winning bid.
